Safety for Both! The Senior-to-Senior Foster Program connects cats (age 10+) with senior citizens who need companionship without the long-term commitment of ownership. Everyone deserves a loving companion—especially those entering a new stage of life.
How the Program Works
Application & Matching: You complete the Senior-to-Senior application, and we’ll match you with the right cat based on your preferences and lifestyle.
Home Trial Period: A trial period ensures you and the cat are the right fit. We will check in with you on a weekly basis to ensure things are working out.
Ongoing Support: We’ll stay connected with you via email or the phone on a regular basis to address any challenges and to celebrate milestones.
Fostering Saves Lives
Senior cats often have difficulty finding homes. These cats might lose their human families due to illness or life changes, and many end up in shelters where adoption opportunities are limited. Through fostering, seniors provide these cats with a loving, temporary home.

A Safety Net: If something happens to you and you're unable to care for the cat, the cat comes back to Catmandu.

Medical Support: We provide homeopathic care, cover vaccinations and vet needs as your cat ages.

Food and Supplies Assistance: In certain circumstances, we will help with food, litter, and other essentials with no cost to you!!

Regular Check-Ins: We’ll follow up to ensure everything is going smoothly and if something comes up, just give us a call or email us.
