Please note completing a Surrender Request does not guarantee your cat will be accepted.
A Catmandu staff member will be in touch within 72 hours after submission.
We understand that finding a new home for your pet can be challenging. While Catmandu is a wonderful place, it may not be suitable for every cat. As a cage-free facility, we face difficulties accommodating cats that have been in single-cat homes or those that do not get along with other cats.
To improve the chances of rehoming your cat, we recommend posting on various pet re-homing groups on Facebook. We are also happy to share your post on our Facebook page. Please ensure you thoroughly screen potential adopters to guarantee they provide a good home for your cat.
Catmandu usually has a waitlist for cat surrenders due to our commitment to provide a free-roaming, cage-free environment and ensuring that the cats we accept are a good fit with the existing Sanctuary cats.
Do not privately rehome cats or kittens that are not spayed or neutered, as there are already too many homeless cats and kittens in our area.
If you would like us to consider your cat when we have an opening, please complete a Surrender Inquiry. If we are unable to assist, we will do our best to offer advice and alternatives. Unfortunately, there are often more cats in need of homes than there are potential adopters.
