Thank you SO MUCH for helping the kitties of Catmandu have a second chance at a good life through our cage-free sanctuary and rescue. Many of our cats come from terrible backgrounds and have few options other than us. Without your help, they would be living a dangerous life on the streets, sick, or dead.
As 501c3 non-profit organization, Catmandu receives no government funding or funding from outside organizations. We rely solely on donations to keep the doors open and continue our lifesaving work. If you can help, please make a donation today. We make every dollar stretch as far as possible, but the bills still add up. It still costs about $15,000 a month to care for all the cats that live here, as well as the new cats needing care and homes, cats in the Senior Foster Program, etc.. Vet care, medications, homeopathy, food, litter, payroll, mortgage, insurance, utilities... the list goes on and on. It is our community we rely on to help hundreds of homeless cats each year.
While we have had a generous amount of contributions over the last decade that have helped us keep our doors open (even that one time it came super close to closing), 10 years, 3,000 cats, and extreme weather paired with a lack of hands has left us still in need of physical repairs as well. If you are interested in the other ways than funding or much needed items, please contact us. We are always in need of exterior & interior repairs, flooring, landscaping, painting, etc..
We are open for physical donations, such as cat trees, food and litter donations, etc., Weds - Sun 11a-4p. Please let us know what you have ahead of time as there are certain items we cannot accept.
